Operational Excellence Specialist

About the Role:

As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you will lead a systematic and continuous approach towards improving organizational processes. Your primary focus will be on reducing costs, enhancing efficiency, and elevating product quality.

This role will drive lean transformation, process standardization, and best practice implementation across manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, and quality. You will act as a change agent, enabling teams to identify bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and build a culture of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead and implement structured methodologies to improve business processes.
    • Establish frameworks to measure process performance and track improvements.
    • Drive cross-functional workshops to identify improvement opportunities.
  • COGS Ownership:
    • Partner with product, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to analyze and optimize COGS drivers.
    • Lead initiatives to reduce COGS without compromising quality.
    • Monitor and report COGS savings against targets.
  • Standardization & Best Practices:
    • Develop and roll out Standard Operating Procedures for critical processes.
    • Benchmark industry best practices and adapt them to water purifier manufacturing and service models.
    • Enable digital tools/automation for process monitoring and efficiency improvement.
  • Quality & Efficiency:
    • Collaborate with Quality teams to reduce defect rates and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to improve yield and enhance throughput.
    • Drive initiatives to reduce rework, scrap, and warranty costs.
  • Change Management & Capability Building:
    • Build organizational capability in Lean/Process Excellence through training and coaching.
    • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
    • Lead structured problem-solving across teams.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Value Engineering.
  • Proven experience in driving COGS reduction programs in consumer appliances or manufacturing setups.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in tools like Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with high ownership.
