Data Governance Professional

Our organization is seeking a skilled Data Governance Professional to support data governance efforts and enhance our data architecture. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data quality practices, data management principles, and business acumen to establish trusted data foundations that drive business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting.

  • The Data Governance Professional will serve as a business and technical steward for assigned data domains, ensuring data definitions, classifications, and quality rules are enforced.
  • This role involves working with data owners to create and maintain metadata, business glossary, and data catalog entries in tools like Collibra or similar.
  • Data profiling, issue identification, and remediation coordination will also be part of this role.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Operations of Data Governance, hands-on experience with Collibra, and technical skills in SQL, Python/Java, REST APIs.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data quality, has excellent communication skills, and can liaise between business users and technical teams. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.

In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our data strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving organizational excellence through data-driven insights.

You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and address data quality issues, develop data governance policies and procedures, and provide training and support to ensure effective data management practices across the organization.
