We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects Mentor to join our team and drive the growth of our artists by sharing expertise and experience.

About the Role:
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Supervisor to mentor and direct our artists in VFX, focusing on Houdini Software Training and simulation techniques.
Responsibilities:
  1. Design and deliver comprehensive training programs from basic to advanced levels in Houdini Software, ensuring ease of understanding for all learners.
  2. Prioritize teaching RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation, utilizing real-world examples and case studies.
  3. Provide expert guidance on creating convincing Lookdev results for clients, including advice on color grading, texture mapping, and lighting techniques.
  4. Mentor the integration between Houdini, Autodesk Maya, and Blender or vice versa, promoting seamless collaboration and efficient workflows.
  5. Develop and deliver effective teaching strategies to enhance individual skills among in-house VFX Artists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  6. Share insights into global cinema as a VFX Artist, providing valuable industry perspectives and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series, with a strong portfolio demonstrating excellent skills and creative approach.
  • Deep understanding of the overall VFX workflow and production process, with a focus on optimization and efficiency.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini, with a strong knowledge of its features and capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles, with Nuke being a preferred tool.
  • Basic knowledge of Blender workflow is a plus, with experience in 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Solid understanding of leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven track record of inspiring and guiding teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Artistic skills with high attention to detail, combined with enthusiasm and creativity in driving innovation and excellence.
  • Proficiency in English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
