Job Title
A seasoned professional with expertise in quality assurance is sought to lead our developmental quality initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining robust quality systems, ensuring first-time-right product designs that are commercially viable and scalable.
Responsibilities will include designing and implementing processes for new products at the R&D and pilot stages, setting up stage gate systems, and ensuring the right-first-time quality of products.
You will be responsible for conducting experiments, DOE, hypothesis studies, and designing protocols for experiments, process development, and evaluation of process performance between R&D and Pilot plant sites.
In addition, you will play a key role in technology transfer from R&D to Pilot plant and Site level, sharing documentation and ensuring QA-technology transfer to sites.
Your expertise will include in-depth knowledge of crystallization principles, techniques, and equipment, including batch and continuous crystallization methods.
You will study and improve the material flowability and free-flow characteristics of API/ingredients, powders, supplements, and set up a system to analyze and enhance bulk density, compressibility, and particle shape, particle size of materials, angle of repose.
Furthermore, you will implement strategies for particle size engineering, including micronization, granulation, and agglomeration, and design to conduct advanced physical characterization of APIs, ingredients, including particle size distribution, morphology, porosity, and surface area analysis.
You will set up a process to utilize techniques like SEM, TEM, XRD, DLS, and laser diffraction for material evaluation, and expert in defining and setting process conditions, including RH for hygroscopic materials handling, their packing configuration, and storage conditions to avoid lumping and agglomeration issues.
You will also ensure smooth technology transfer of crystallization and powder processing technologies, coordinate with business, technology absorption cell, site QA, and internal CFTs to ensure smooth functioning, closing of stage gate process in the system timely, review, and sign-off of tech-pack, and release it to site.
Additionally, you will generate monthly, weekly, and periodic DQA reports and review them with management, apprising quality-related issues in new projects with areas of improvement.
