We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Junior Optical Transport Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing test plans, automating test cases, and performing regression testing on various network interfaces such as WebUI and TL1. Your contributions will have a direct impact on product quality and customer satisfaction by ensuring robust and error-free optical transport systems.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure high-quality optical system features.
  • Identify, report, and collaborate with architects and developers to resolve software defects in a timely manner.
  • Automate test cases to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts, enhancing the overall testing process.
  • Perform regression testing across different configurations and network element (NE) interfaces like WebUI and TL1, guaranteeing seamless integration and functionality.
  • Gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex optical networking issues, fostering expertise in communication and network systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of WDM optical transport systems, including OTN and packet transport.
  • Strong academic background in communication and network systems, enabling effective troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Test Automation skills, preferably using Python, to streamline testing processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex networking scenarios, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills.
