Mobile Test Automation Expert Job Description

About this role:

We are seeking a skilled professional with hands-on experience in mobile test automation and API testing to join our team as a Mobile Test Automation Expert.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for Android and iOS apps using Appium.

Responsibilities include testing RESTful APIs and backend integration using RestAssured or similar tools, executing tests on real devices and emulators, ensuring comprehensive coverage across platforms.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams in Agile ceremonies, analyze mobile logs, and use debugging tools to troubleshoot complex issues.

Additionally, the selected candidate will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, validate app deployments, and contribute to robust mobile release workflows.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain automated test suites for Android and iOS apps using Appium.
  • Test RESTful APIs and backend integration using RestAssured or similar tools.
  • Execute tests on real devices and emulators, ensuring comprehensive coverage across platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams in Agile ceremonies.
  • Analyze mobile logs and use debugging tools to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitrise, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Validate app deployments and contribute to robust mobile release workflows.

Requirements:

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of overall testing experience, with 2+ years in mobile automation.
  • Strong experience with Appium, and API testing using RestAssured.
  • Solid understanding of iOS and Android platforms, including use of emulators and physical devices.
  • Experience working in CI/CD environments for mobile apps.
  • Strong debugging skills and comfort with mobile logs and tooling.
