Senior Data Specialist

Job Overview

As a seasoned data expert, we are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Specialist to lead our data management initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee the design and implementation of efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines using cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines leveraging AWS Lambda, AWS DMS, and AWS Glue for seamless data integration.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain Snowflake stored procedures to execute complex business logic and perform data transformations.
  • Manage and monitor scheduled data workflows with Apache Airflow, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality datasets.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate project requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Implement and maintain robust data quality checks to guarantee accuracy and reliability across all delivered datasets and reports.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a senior data engineer or equivalent role with expertise in data pipeline design and development.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL scripting and Python programming for data manipulation and automation.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow and hands-on knowledge of AWS Cloud services, including Lambda, DMS, and Glue.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and practical experience with Snowflake.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design and implement solutions based on business needs.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and effective project documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with data quality best practices and industry-standard methodologies.
