Disaster Recovery Specialist

The role of the Disaster Recovery Specialist is a critical position that ensures the continuity of business operations in the event of a disaster or outage. The successful candidate will have expertise in developing and maintaining technology roadmaps, as well as operational health, deployment, and lifecycle management of technology and platform solutions.

This individual will be responsible for designing and deploying technology solutions, acting as Level 4 support during major and critical incidents, automating service deployments and management to enable modern delivery flows, and executing service operations processes and oversight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining technology roadmaps according to respective Service Strategies.
  • Performing operational health, deployment, and lifecycle management of technology and platform solutions.
  • Designing and deploying technology solutions and providing Level 4 support during major and critical incidents.
  • Automating service deployments and management to enable modern delivery flows.
  • Executing service operations processes and oversight.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • At least 3 years of experience with IT infrastructure solutions design.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technologies that ensure availability and resiliency in virtualization, operating systems, and databases, including VMware, Site Recovery Manager, Oracle DataGuard, SQL Always on, Network, and Storage.
  • Experience with DR Plans preparation for specific applications and sites (datacenters) - step-by-step procedures for DR testing and real DR situation.
  • IT project management and strategic planning experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
