Job Summary

DBS Bank is seeking a skilled Trade Finance Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the operations of Trade Finance, ensuring that all transactions are processed efficiently and in accordance with internal processes and external regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Trade Finance transactions in accordance with internal processes and external regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage client services to meet expectations and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Handle and manage Trade finance products, including exports, domestic, and factoring transactions.
  • Strengthen relationships with stakeholders and client-facing branches by resolving trade queries and issues promptly.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure the unit is audit-ready at all times.
  • Meet SLA/delivery cut-offs on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain discipline around leaves and working timelines.
  • Train fellow team members on subject matters as needed.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Trade Products, including Documentary Letters of Credit, Exports & Domestic Collections / Financing, ARP, Fund Transfer, and Swifts.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in handling Trade Finance products.
  • Understanding of ICC publications - UCP600, ISBP, URR, URC, and AML & Sanctions policies.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints, enquiries, and queries.
  • Capability to ensure smooth transition without impacting customer deliverables.
  • Ability to identify areas of risk and raise timely concerns/queries to seniors in the team.

Education/Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate.

  • Knowledge of MS Office package - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
