We are seeking a skilled professional to support the development and maintenance of our middleware applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in software engineering, Dell Boomi, and AWS.

Main Responsibilities

">
  • Support the development and maintenance of middleware applications.
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering Manager to ensure changes are developed according to functional specifications.
  • Develop technical documentation, enhancements, and testing for middleware applications.
  • Prepare release updates and documentation, as well as provide 3rd line support (bug fixes) and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

">
  1. Development of application enhancements to meet agreed functional specifications.
  2. Build and standardize Boomi architecture for middleware applications and document them.
  3. Interact with business teams to review and agree on functional requirements.
  4. Convert functional requirements into technical specifications including process flow diagrams.
  5. Contribute to unit and quality testing of application enhancements.
  6. Collaborate with scrum master to prioritize, plan, and prepare release schedules.
  7. Prepare application release updates, documentation, and user manuals.
  8. Conduct post-release reviews and cascade functional and application process flow to the support team.
  9. Ensure that application version control and clear segregation of development and production environments are maintained.
  10. Work within teams for knowledge sharing and transfer, documenting processes.
  11. Provide 3rd line expert support and bug fixes for applications.
  12. Prepare ad-hoc reporting requirements for supported applications.
  13. Maintain systematic documentation processes for applications, including controls put in place and changes made.
  14. Log incidents and efforts related to application enhancements in Jira.
  15. Develop self through identifying and completing learning activities.

Person Specification

  • Professional degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Expertise in modern software engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with Dell Boomi, AWS, NodeJS, JavaScript, and database technologies preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Awareness of agile product management tools like Jira and Confluence.

Experience

  • 4+ years Dell Boomi development experience.
  • 3+ years JavaScript or NodeJS exposure.
  • Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering principles is an added advantage.
