Senior Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL and analytical data understanding, as well as problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Data Analysis: The Senior Data Engineer will analyze and interpret data to generate actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • SQL Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts is required.
  • JSON and API Integration: Hands-on experience with JSON and REST API integration, including ability to work with payloads.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with organisational standards.

This role requires 5+ years of experience in similar roles. We encourage candidates with the necessary skills and qualifications to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  2. Analyze and interpret data to generate actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  3. Design, implement payloads/API calls to consume REST APIs for seamless data exchange between services/systems.
  4. Work extensively with JSON data formats for integration and processing.
  5. Review and understand legacy system code to ensure smooth integration and migration processes.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with organisational standards.
Required Skills
  • SQL and Relational Database Concepts: Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Demonstrated experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • JSON and API Integration: Hands-on experience with JSON and REST API integration, able to work with payloads.
  • Legacy Code Review: Ability to read and understand legacy code.
