Regional Cybersecurity Officer Job Description

Mission Summary:

Role Overview

As a Regional Cybersecurity Officer, you will be responsible for leading the cybersecurity efforts within your assigned region. This includes acting as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity-related matters, managing and coordinating the activities of Sites Cybersecurity Officers, deploying and assessing the effectiveness of the Valeo ISSP (Information Systems Security Policy), and providing regular reporting to the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Cybersecurity point of contact for the Region, ensuring seamless communication with the Group CISO, legal representatives, customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Functionally manage Sites Cybersecurity Officers, including organizing regular meetings, relaying communications, and coordinating translations.
  • Deploy the Valeo ISSP within the Region, assess and improve the level of Cybersecurity of different sites, disseminate Group standards, rules, and best practices, control and validate compliance, and manage Cybersecurity action plans.
  • Coordinate Cybersecurity incidents in the Region, ensure capitalization, and provide swift resolution with Sites Cybersecurity Officers and the Group CIRT.
  • Provide regular and on-demand reporting to the Group, follow OEMs Cybersecurity requirements, and contribute to the evolution of the Valeo ISSP and Group Cybersecurity programs.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess above 10 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity, have worked in an international company in a multicultural environment, and hold knowledge and experience linked to Cybersecurity standards (ISO 2700x, NIST, NIS…).

You should also have knowledge and experience in technical topics such as malware, patch management, firewalling, and other infrastructure/network/system/database/application experience. Team management experience is highly desirable.
