About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Production Engineer to lead our production operations in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, and resource optimization.

  • Lead and supervise shop floor operations to achieve production targets and quality standards.
  • Plan and prioritize production activities based on project requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication, TIG/MIG welding, and assembly processes.
  • Oversee resource allocation and optimize utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, driving efficiency, and ensuring quality and safety standards. They will also implement continuous improvement initiatives and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in production/manufacturing roles, with at least 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software.
  • Hands-on expertise in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding for stainless steel assemblies.
  • Strong background in resource optimization, 5S, Kaizen, EHS, and lean manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
