Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing custom kernel modules, developing portable code bases, automating build and test environments, conducting code analysis and review, improving software stacks, tooling, and processes, troubleshooting incidents across infrastructure, network, storage, and levels of stack, documenting findings and procedures, evaluating new hardware servers, NICs, and adding support for new hardware, NICs, Storage controllers, and JBODs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess 1-3 years of Linux device driver development experience and application development experience in Linux environments. They should have a thorough understanding of Linux kernel internals, including memory management, filesystem, irq, DMA, IOMMU, and Networking. A strong coding background in C, C++, Bash, Python, or Perl is essential. Experience with various build environments (auto make, CMAKE, Clang) and version control systems (GIT, CVS, SVN) is also required.

Benefits:

The ideal candidate will be familiar with kernel and process debugging, profiling tools (Val grind, Gdb, kdb, perf), and have good written and oral communication skills. Nice to have skills include knowledge of packet data-path acceleration framework, Golang, Rust, PCI device driver, docker, Kubernetes, cgroups, namespace, and virtual environments.
