Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Data Engineer to enhance our data team.

The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with expertise in multiple technologies, eager to guide others while continuously expanding their knowledge base.

Responsibilities:
  • Data Architecture & ETL: Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for our data warehouse and big data projects.
  • Cloud Services: Utilize and manage data-related services on major cloud platforms, including Azure, GCP, or AWS, for tasks such as data ingestion, cleanup, and business intelligence (BI).
  • Data Quality & Performance: Participate in and lead design and code reviews to ensure the quality and performance of our data solutions. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues within our data systems.
  • SQL Expertise: Create efficient and complex SQL queries to solve intricate data problems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members on structured problem-solving and development best practices. Assist with task estimation and project planning.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Possess a foundational understanding of reporting tools and data visualization to support business intelligence.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role focused on ETL and data skills.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services from Azure, GCP, or AWS, particularly in data-related domains.
  • Deep understanding of data warehouse and big data concepts.
  • Soft Skills: A proactive attitude with a strong desire to explore new technologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific reporting tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack technologies.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
