Job Summary

The position will oversee the financial operations for a hotel property in Ahmedabad-style settings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develops methods to enhance profitability, including cost estimation and business opportunity exploration.
  • Analyzes information, forecasts sales against expenses, and creates annual budget plans.
  • Compiles data, analyzes, and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
  • Examines differences between actual and forecasted wages for efficient budget planning.
  • Identifies underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking it down into separate parts.
  • Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new business strategies.
  • Creates an annual operating budget for the property.
  • Provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost savings and productivity opportunities for property managers.
  • Implements a system of controls to manage business risks.
  • Ensures a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets and improve operations.
  • Analyzes financial data and market trends.
  • Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with the company's strategic direction.
  • Provides ongoing analytical support by monitoring actual and projected sales.
  • Produces accurate forecasts that enable operations to react to changes in the business.

Leadership Requirements:

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial decision-making.
  • Communicates strategic goals, focus, and priorities to subordinates in a clear manner.
  • Leverages functional leadership and communication skills to influence the executive team and lead own team.
  • Oversees internal and external audit processes.
  • Assigns clear accountability to team members and other departments' managers.
  • Conducts annual performance appraisals with direct reports according to standard procedures.

Qualifications

  • CA/MBA/Masters degree with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years experience in accounting, preferably in the hotel industry.
