Job Overview

The Render Wrangler Specialist is a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our visual effects and lighting shots.

This position requires a strong understanding of rendering pipelines, shading, lighting, and AOV/pass setup. The ideal candidate will have experience with render farm management and proficiency in Python scripting and familiarity with MEL, MAXScript, HScript for tool development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize the rendering workflow across multiple DCC applications.
  • Coordinate effectively with the client team to ensure renders meet production quality and deadlines.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to artists for resolving rendering-related issues.
  • Communicate render time predictions and resource requirements to Production.
  • Stay up to date with the latest rendering technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Software Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Maya, Blender, Houdini and 3ds Max.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of rendering pipelines, shading, lighting and AOV/pass setup. Experience with render farm management. Proficiency in Python scripting and familiarity with MEL, MAXScript, HScript for tool development.
  • Other Requirements: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex render issues.
