Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our global technology company. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building backend software for web-based or mobile products.

As a key member of our Engineering team, you will work closely with our Product and Data Science teams to design and maintain technologies, including our API backend, credit scoring systems, payments integrations and operations tools.

The role involves building out APIs and backend systems for our frontend clients, integrating with third-party systems, and helping us build new financial products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing scalable backend systems using modern AI tools.
  • Integrating with payment systems, identity providers and messaging platforms.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience (3-8 years) of building backend software for web-based or mobile products.
  • Experience leveraging modern AI tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong knowledge of software development fundamentals, including computer science fundamentals, distributed systems, data storage and agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a strong understanding of working in a distributed team.
  • Hands-on experience with toolstacks similar to dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Metabase, etc.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python.
