About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team as an offshore consultant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices. You will also be responsible for migrating existing .NET code that integrates with our loan servicing platform to the new Java stack.

This is a challenging opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.

Skill Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework
  • Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns
  • Proven experience working with message brokers and event streaming platforms
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
