Job Title: Senior Database Administrator

Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing database systems that meet the needs of our organization.

You will work closely with our development team to ensure that our database systems are scalable, secure, and meet the needs of our business.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also need to have excellent communication and project management skills to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing database systems and recommend improvements
  • Work with IT Manager to establish database security structures
  • Manage and maintain Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters
  • Administer and monitor Apache Kafka (open-source) clusters
  • Perform database administration for Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL systems
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience with Relational or NoSQL database technologies
