Our organization seeks a seasoned Credit Risk Lead to spearhead optimal risk-adjusted returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust credit risk frameworks for unsecured products such as Supply Chain Finance, business loans, and working capital.
  • Evaluate and enhance underwriting norms in line with market trends, regulatory guidelines, and risk appetite to ensure compliance and reduced risk exposure.
  • Collaborate closely with product and analytics teams to optimize credit strategies for new and existing products, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices.

Underwriting & Risk Models

  • Design and improve credit scorecards and rule engines in collaboration with data science and analytics teams, integrating expertise from both fields to enhance model accuracy and performance.
  • Monitor the performance of underwriting models and recommend refinements as needed to maintain optimal risk-adjusted returns.
  • Evaluate emerging lending segments, channels, or partnerships from a credit perspective, identifying opportunities and risks associated with each.

Portfolio Monitoring & MIS

  • Analyze portfolio performance, delinquencies, and early warning signals using comprehensive dashboards and analytics tools to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Lead periodic credit reviews and present portfolio health to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Design and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and early warning systems (EWS) to proactively identify potential issues and mitigate risk exposure.

Requirements

  • MBA/PGDM in Finance, Economics, or CA degree required.
  • Minimum 7-12 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably with unsecured lending experience in NBFCs or Fintechs.
  • Strong understanding of consumer credit products and the risk lifecycle essential for success in this role.
  • Working Capital underwriting is a must-have skill.
