Job Overview:

Lead and manage key Intellectual Property (IP) matters, including prosecution, litigation, and advisory services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic IP initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IP Matters: Handle end-to-end IPR matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs.
  • IP Strategy: Advise clients on IP strategy, protection, enforcement, and commercialization.
  • IP Applications: Draft, review, and file IP applications (national & international), oppositions, assignments, and licensing agreements.
  • IP Litigation: Represent clients in IPR litigation and enforcement actions, including appearing before IPO, IPAB, and courts.
  • IP Due Diligence: Conduct IP due diligence, freedom to operate (FTO), and infringement analysis.
  • International Collaboration: Liaise with external counsels, authorities, and international associates for cross-border IP matters.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior team members, ensuring knowledge development and quality delivery.
  • Staying Updated: Stay updated with emerging trends, legal amendments, and case laws related to IPR.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law (LL.B / LL.M). Registered Patent Agent is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in IP law, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal team.
  • Skills: Strong legal drafting, analytical, and research skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and client-handling abilities.
  • Portfolio Management: Proven track record in managing complex IPR portfolios and high-stakes litigation.
