Embedded Ethernet Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Ethernet Engineer to join our team.

This is a high-impact role that requires expertise in the design and development of embedded systems, with a focus on Ethernet protocols and interfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the latest Ethernet standards, including IEEE 802.3 and other relevant technologies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop embedded systems that integrate Ethernet interfaces and protocols
  • Develop and maintain device drivers for Linux kernel
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product releases

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ethernet Protocol Expertise:
  • Understanding of Ethernet PHY ICs, including PCS, PMA, PMD, auto-negotiation, link training, FEC, and loopbacks
  • Knowledge of Media Independent Interfaces (MIIs), such as MII, RMII, GMII, RGMII, SGMII, XAUI, QSGMII, KR/SR/LR
  • Experience with Layer 2 Switching Concepts, including MAC address learning, VLANs (802.1Q), Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP), Link Aggregation (LAG/LACP), IGMP Snooping
  • Software Development Skills:
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
  • Experience with Linux kernel development and device driver development
  • Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python or Bash
