Financial Manager

AbbVie is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, including inventory accounting, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory accounting and process control
- Review 3rd party manufacturing invoices and costings
- Prepare month close reporting requirements
- Conduct monthly quantity reconciliation
- Track standard vs actual inventory
- Monitor scrap/write offs of inventory
- Ensure inventory provisioning is working correctly
- Comply with audit requirements pertaining to inventory
- Accrue costs of sales
Intercompany Transactions and Fixed Assets:
- Manage intercompany payments and compliances
- Ensure compliance for all international payments
- Prepare and track intercompany cross charges/debit notes
- Prepare audit schedules and requirements
- Account for fixed assets and capital budget tracking
- Review vehicle capitalization and recovery working
- Track lease properties and account for them according to UGAAP and IGAAP
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support all types of audits
- Prepare month end schedules
- Prepare books of accounts, balance sheet, and financial reporting
- Manage ad-hoc requirements
- Test and implement internal control over financial reporting
- Provide support to finance and accounting team
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of challenges associated with large US multinationals, manufacturing, and/or biopharmaceutical entities
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience with general accounting in a large accounting firm and/or large multinational company
- CA Intermediate/MBA Finance/CMA Intermediate
- Experience with SAP
- Fluent in written and spoken English is essential. Any other language is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with senior level management
- Strong analytical skills, with a hands-on attitude to problem solving
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiative
- Ability to work in a virtual multi-cultural team and build strong working relationships
- Willingness to travel, if required
