Senior Communications Strategist Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned communications leader to drive strategic narrative-building and execution for our organization in India.

This role combines hands-on storytelling with leadership skills – working closely with agencies, management, and internal teams to amplify our voice across traditional and digital channels.

You'll lead external communication through earned media, thought leadership, branded IPs, sponsorships, and online reputation management. This role requires both strategy and execution, with a focus on building trust and awareness in a regulated sector.

  • Strategic Communication & Brand Building
  • Develop and lead our corporate communication and brand positioning strategy for the Indian market
  • Define and maintain a consistent brand identity, voice, and messaging framework across all touchpoints such as the website, social media, media, employee communication, etc
  • Media Relations & Thought Leadership
  • Build and manage strong relationships with India's top-tier business, technology, and fintech media
  • Drive positive coverage through press releases, features, media interviews, and authored articles
  • Online Reputation Management
  • Lead ORM across platforms (Google, review sites, news portals, forums) using monitoring and sentiment tools
  • Develop proactive response strategies to misinformation or negative sentiment
  • Branded IPs & Sponsorships
  • Conceptualize and launch branded content series and thought leadership platforms (e.g. webinars, founder journals, ecosystem reports)
  • Identify and execute strategic sponsorships and co-branded activations to drive thought leadership and trust

Ideal Candidate: 8–12 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or brand management, preferably in fintech, BFSI, payments, or regulated industries.
