About Cloud Database Administrator Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to manage, monitor, and optimize databases hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about database technologies and cloud infrastructure, eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision, configure, and maintain cloud-hosted databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, Cloud SQL)
  • Monitor database performance and availability using cloud-native tools
  • Ensure data security, backup, and recovery processes are implemented and adhered to
  • Support migration of databases to the cloud from on-premises systems
  • Create users, roles, and permission policies for database access
  • Troubleshoot basic database issues with guidance from senior DBAs
  • Document procedures, configurations, and operational best practices
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams for database-related needs

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) and their database offerings
  • Knowledge of database backup, restore, and disaster recovery fundamentals
  • Awareness of database security best practices
  • Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Cloud certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner / Azure Fundamentals / Google Cloud Digital Leader) will be an added advantage
