Expert Web Scraping Specialist

We seek an accomplished expert in web scraping to excel at Forage AI. This is a pivotal opportunity for individuals with exceptional Python programming skills and expertise in web scraping frameworks, browser automation tools, and anti-scraping mechanisms.

The ideal candidate will transform complex web data into structured intelligence using cutting-edge technologies like Scrapy, Playwright, or Selenium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance existing web scraping projects to ensure data quality and efficiency.
  • Design and refine crawlers using Python-based tools and frameworks such as Scrapy.
  • Leverage browser automation tools like Playwright or Selenium to handle dynamic content effectively.
  • Clean, validate, and integrate extracted data into downstream storage systems seamlessly.
  • Implement and manage solutions for anti-bot measures (CAPTCHAs, IP rotation, etc.) to guarantee data integrity.
  • Optimize crawling efficiency and ensure compliance with web crawling best practices rigorously.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data acquisition strategies proactively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python with 2 years of work experience in web scraping frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of browser automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and selector languages (XPath/CSS).
  • Experience in handling anti-scraping challenges and ensuring robust data extraction.
  • Familiarity with distributed scraping techniques and data pipelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web crawlers for performance and reliability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
