About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solar Power Plant Engineering Manager to lead our engineering activities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and executing engineering activities for civil and structural aspects of solar PV power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents
  • Ensure deliveries are aligned to project schedule
  • Review drawings by design engineers and draughts persons, checking design and sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from clients
  • Review of vendor deliverables pertaining to engineering
  • Capable of multitasking and delivering multiple tasks on time
  • Estimate and plan man-hour requirements
  • Review BOQ and submit to contracts team and providing technical clarifications
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks
  • Provide support and clarifications to site execution teams
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Minimum 8-20 years of experience in design aspects of solar PV power plants or power distribution projects
  • Technical expertise in engineering activities for civil and structural covering control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads, and drainage, outdoor steel structures, and miscellaneous works related to solar power plants
  • Able to review vendor engineering documents with respect to civil and structural design
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
