Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing a next-generation control plane for our front office desks. This is a challenging opportunity to leverage deep technical skills to inform the implementation of a highly scalable message-driven architecture, processing billions of messages per day and making safe-to-trade determinations in real-time.

The role will also involve building out web applications that allow users to register, develop, and administer controls on the platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a competitive and nimble team, using high-performance code and open-source libraries.

Candidates will work directly with various stakeholders, including product managers and Global Banking Markets risk managers, to improve our controls data platform. The team is based in London and India and focuses on the control data solution for Global Banking Markets Operational Risk and delivering new features.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Six years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or full-stack software engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of at least two high-level programming languages, such as Java or Python.
  • Formulating clear and concise written and verbal descriptions of software and systems for engineering stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
