Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Expert to join our team.

  • Create, modify and analyze control system designs to meet updated standards and incorporate new products, components and functionalities.
  • Apply design thinking concepts in projects to optimize designs and improve performance.
  • Take ownership of the specification, implementation and documentation of converter software in line with design guidelines and best practices.

This role involves designing and adapting project-specific software using Codesys (IEC 61131-3) or similar environments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Control Systems Expert, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Configuring control hardware and firmware to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining software documentation including Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Software Interface Specifications (SIS) and Software Test Specifications (STS).
  • Conducting software validation tests using simulators and during converter type-tests in the lab.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics (E&E) or Electronics & Communication (E&C) Engineering.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in control systems particularly in traction control and auxiliary converter products.
  • Familiarity with electrical installations in rail vehicles is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of communication protocols such as CANopen, J1939, Ethernet (TCP/IP, UDP, TRDP) and MVB is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills in English written and spoken additional languages are a plus.
