Academic Guidance Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert guidance to prospective students in relation to the admission process and courses offered by the institution. This entails conducting comprehensive reviews of student applications, evaluating their eligibility and academic qualifications, and making informed decisions regarding admissions.

In addition to guiding students through the application process, the successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with program coordinators to organize presentations and information sessions. Furthermore, they will need to collaborate with marketing sources to promote admission activities and facilitate student registration and testing.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role, as is the ability to maintain regular contact with students and address any concerns or issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales experience and be able to think critically and strategically to achieve performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain admission procedures and courses offered to prospective students
  • Support students throughout the admission process
  • Maintain target metrics by converting prospective students into confirmed admissions
  • Review student applications for eligibility and academic qualifications
  • Participate in decision-making processes for student admissions
  • Prepare and present applicant reports to management
  • Participate in educational events and recruitment activities
  • Collaborate with program coordinators to organize presentations and information sessions
  • Coordinate with marketing sources for admission activities
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks when necessary
