Job Overview

Job Title: Data Operations Analyst

     We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Operations Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the data operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of our data systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor data loads and support tools (DWH, DevOps, BI Tools) to ensure data availability.
  2. Support development, test, and production environments.
  3. Monitor data load performance and query/package execution time to ensure successful job execution.
  4. Collaborate with the operations team to track alerts and errors, provide input to resolve incidents and problem tickets.
  5. Support database changes observing industry-standard software development life cycle approaches.
  6. Assist in the release of code from the engineering team to ensure separation of duty.
  7. Act as the first line of support to review and assign ServiceNow tickets to technicians in Data team assignment groups.
  8. Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure reliable population of data solutions on time.
RequirementsExperience Requirements
  • A minimum of 4-7 years of experience is essential.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting data operational activities extracting SQL data, monitoring data loads, and other data services.
  • Desirable: 4+ years of experience working on Microsoft SQL Server, writing SQL queries, SSIS, and Azure administration.
Knowledge Requirements
  • Strong background in data teams.
  • Robust knowledge of RDBMS principles and environment management.
Skill and Competency Requirements
  • Ability to communicate data operations intricacies to internal stakeholders.
  • Developing high-quality processes, procedures, and governance for data operations.
Qualifications/Certifications
  • GSCE/GCE qualifications in both Maths and English are essential.
  • Certifications in ITIL or data management are desirable.
Information Security Management System (as per ISO 27001 Certification Requirements)
  • Ensure strict adherence to company's security policies and procedures.
  • Take ownership of assets/information assigned and secure it in compliance with ISO 27001 standard implemented in the company.
