About this Role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial banking relationships and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct complex credit investigations and gather diverse credit information for loans
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the scope of responsibilities or functional area
  • Review and identify basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgment to guide medium-risk deliverables
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal and external customers
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Desired Qualifications:
  • MBA (Finance/Banking), Cost and Management Accountancy, Chartered Accountancy, or post-graduation in Economics
  • At least 3 years of overall commercial credit experience across diversified asset classes, including corporate entities and real estate asset classes
  • Good knowledge of financial statements for various industries, with the ability to ascertain trends, ratios, and call out key risks when compared to benchmarks (historical and industry performance)
  • Good knowledge of Discounted Cash Flow, Comparable Company, and Precedent Transaction analysis
  • Experience in assessing credit worthiness of borrowers based on various qualitative and quantitative factors
  • Excellent communication skills, with a special focus on business writing skills for credit reports
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and synthesize data regarding borrower performance/market-related information from multiple sources into one prescribed template
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
