Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position will succeed if they have both knowledge and technical depth about the industry.

This person will be a central figure in decision-making, working with multiple individuals across different teams. They will oversee specific personnel and be responsible for several key tasks.

They will be expected to possess excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Erecting, Dismantling, Maintaining and Operating Heavy Machinery:
  • Erect, dismantle, maintain, and operate Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, etc.
  • Control spare parts inventory and cost optimization, sourcing of plant and machinery operators, mechanics, etc.
  • Generate local MIS reports to the Mechanical Head at HO/Project In charge.
  • Maintain site records of equipment, such as log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  • Make budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitor them monthly.
  • Train personnel on safe use of equipment and provide guidance on repairs, servicing, and record-keeping.
  • Ensure optimum use of P&M corresponding to their rated productivity output.
  • Minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize availability of equipment at site.
  • Make service schedules for each month based on hours/Kms running and implement them strictly.
