Delivery Lead for Digital Products in Everyday Banking

  • This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of digital products in everyday banking.
Key Responsibilities

Co-Owning and Facilitating Delivery

The Digital Products Delivery Lead will co-own and facilitate the delivery of mobile banking digital products for their tribe, working closely with Product Owners and Global Product Owners.

Problem Solving and Domain Knowledge

Candidates must possess excellent domain knowledge, problem-solving skills, and functional understanding of banking domain in the context of Web, Mobile, and Tablet Channels for Payments, KYC, Customer Onboarding, and Servicing for Business Banking and SME Customers under Retail Banking and Wealth Management business segment of Emirates NBD Group.

Platform Stability and Compliance

The Delivery Lead must stay updated with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies like AI/ML, IoT, and biometrics to achieve the highest degree of platform stability and compliance to Non-Financial Requirements (NFRs).

Managing Dependencies and Interfaces

The Delivery Lead is responsible for managing interfaces and dependencies of Digital Product's Epics/Features that need to be delivered by IT Platforms, ensuring required features are placed on the backlog of relevant IT Teams with right priority and delivery commitments as needed.

Scrum Master of Scrum Masters Team

The Delivery Lead acts as Scrum Master of Scrum Masters team with their tribe (Scrum of Scrums), facilitating and coordinating activities within the tribe, escalating issues or risks, and ensuring complete focus on delivering efficiency and business value in Agile delivery squads for their respective tribes.

Product Portfolio Reviews

The Delivery Lead facilitates and supports Tribe Leads and Product Owners in managing and tracking product funding while providing budget utilization updates to relevant stakeholders. They also conduct Product Portfolio Reviews for their tribes with relevant Tribe Leads, Business Owners, and IT Leadership Teams, as well as provide portfolio updates to PMO's Portfolio Management Team for Business Portfolio Review Meetings.

Vendor-Based Deliveries and Turn-Key Teams

The Delivery Lead oversees vendor-based deliveries and turn-key teams with vendors for their respective tribes as needed, regularly tracks progress of OKRs and KPIs, reporting to Head of Digital Products and other key stakeholders to keep them informed.

Release Management and End-to-End Process Ownership

While Tech Leads in squads are responsible for release management, the Delivery Lead facilitates them by aligning all dependent IT Platforms and Teams for their respective releases and owning the end-to-end release management process.

Quality, Security, and Regulatory Standards

The Delivery Lead ensures all Digital products under their tribe meet the highest level of Quality, Security standards, and regulatory requirements of the respective region.
