Strategic Director - Risk and Innovation

This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in strategic planning and risk management to drive business growth and innovation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive risk strategies that align with our business objectives.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize risk initiatives, develop robust frameworks for content creation and stakeholder engagement, and drive the delivery of high-quality thought leadership materials.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive risk strategies that align with business objectives
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize risk initiatives
  • Develop robust frameworks for content creation and stakeholder engagement
  • Drive the delivery of high-quality thought leadership materials
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in strategy development and execution at top-tier management consulting firms or equivalent strategy roles
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) from a top-tier institution with strong analytical and quantitative foundation
  • Deep experience in financial services required, with payments industry experience advantageous but not essential

  • Proven ability to independently identify opportunities and drive implementation without constant supervision
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable outcomes and driving strategic initiatives from conception to successful completion
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong ownership mindset who thrives in ambiguous situations

  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information into compelling storylines and strategic narratives
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proven experience presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Strong capability in developing high-quality thought leadership materials and strategic frameworks
Stakeholder Management and Strategic Thinking:
  • Proven ability to effectively work with and influence diverse stakeholder groups including senior executives, product teams, and external partners
  • Exceptional capability to rapidly analyze and synthesize information from multiple disparate sources
  • Ability to quickly adapt strategic approaches and recommendations based on changing market conditions
