Job Title:

Senior Design Engineer

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design process and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. This will involve working closely with the project team to agree project scope, timelines and deliverables.

Key responsibilities include preparing feasibility study reports, agreeing and monitoring project scope, defining building requirements and purpose of use, carrying out detailed design as per client requirements, reviewing and monitoring the production of calculations, and coordinating project contracts documents.

In addition, the role will require managing a team of engineers and Revit technicians, providing coaching and mentoring to junior staff, and following document control and QA processes relevant to project work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in the design of Building Structures with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record.
  • Good presentation skills are also required.
  • Must be fully conversant with technical structural software such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE and STAAD.
  • A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential.
  • Must be fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
