Job Overview

This role requires professionals with relevant design experience in high voltage electrical systems.

Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering and have a minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience in POWER PLANTS projects, mainly in HV Substations (AIS/GIS), above 100 kV.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Designing main electrical equipment and materials
  • Preparing and reviewing technical specifications and data sheets
  • Preparing electrical equipment and material sizing calculations
  • Preparing control and protection schematics and SLDs
  • Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase of HV Electrical Equipment
  • Designing and reviewing overhead lines
  • Reviewing generation/grid interconnections
  • Power system studies
  • Technical Bid Evaluation of Offers for HV Electrical Equipment
  • Interacting and collaborating with other technical disciplines involved

Candidates should also possess strong skills in single line drawings, schematics, and control & protection systems.

Good knowledge of International Codes & Standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, IP is also required.

Key Qualifications
  • 15 years or more experience working in the electrical discipline in an engineering company
  • Designing for HV electrical equipment and materials
  • Power system studies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Understanding of other disciplines
  • Able to complete tasks in accordance with project requirements
  • Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate supervisor and other project personnel

Self-motivated and quick learner with excellent English language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing are essential for this role.
