Electrical Engineer Role Summary

This position involves designing and implementing electrical systems for various industries including Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical.

  • Designing electrical equipment and materials.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical specifications and data sheets.
  • Conducting electrical calculations and preparing sizing documents.
  • Classifying hazardous areas and developing panel schedules, interconnection diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Preparing material take-off (MTO) and bill of materials (BOM).
  • Procuring electrical equipment and bulk materials.
  • Evaluating technical bids and preparing tabulation reports.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Awareness and commitment to health, safety, and environmental issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 5-20 years of experience in the electrical discipline.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of international codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in electrical calculation software (ETAP, SKM, Digisilent, Dialux).
  • Experience as an electrical site engineer.
