We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global regulatory team, you will provide regulatory support for IFF Health and Biosciences business unit, focusing on dietary supplement ingredients in India.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal business partners, including R&D, Quality, Commercial, and Marketing, as well as Legal, to provide governance and interpretation of food and dietary supplement requirements in India.

You will be responsible for preparing appropriate regulatory submissions to support the development, manufacturing, marketing, and commercialization of dietary ingredients comprising a blend of various ingredients.

This role may also involve representing IFF within trade association and industry meetings and meeting with relevant regulatory authorities, including FSSAI.

You will require continuous regulatory diligence of Indian regulations for food and dietary supplements, providing regulatory guidance based on existing statutes and emerging trends relevant to product import, compliance, safety determination, and efficacy.

This role owns responsibility for preparing and submitting regulatory dossiers for ingredients intended for use in food or dietary supplement products in India.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare regulatory submissions, including dossiers for novel foods, processing aids, health claims, and other relevant regulatory documents or submissions.
  • Collaborate with internal IFF Global Regulatory Strategy Lead and relevant Global Product Managers to implement strategic efforts for dietary ingredients in India, including probiotics, postbiotics, botanicals, and bioscience ingredients.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to IFF Quality team for aspects of product compliance, including GMPs and product labeling.
  • Assist in responding to customer inquiries.
  • Provide regulatory assistance to logistics for shipment clearances.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments and changes to regulations, industry standards, and assist in disseminating this information to internal stakeholders.
  • Interpret new and existing regulatory requirements, policies, and guidance as they relate to products and initiate actions to ensure compliance with these regulations.
  • Review scientific literature and data from clinical trials to support health benefit statements and marketing of dietary ingredients and relevant products.
  • Represent IFF at relevant industry groups and regulatory authorities, including FSSAI and regional associations.

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
