Electrical Engineering Leadership Role

The primary goal of this role is to lead the engineering effort for projects and provide technical oversight for team members.

This position requires a senior-level electrical engineer with experience in substation plant design, preferably in a consulting environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in substation plant design and should be familiar with UK Standards and other international design standards.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables, including complex reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages. They will also take personal responsibility for the preparation of detailed engineering documentation and leading interdisciplinary coordination as required for the project.

The qualified candidate will have excellent English written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations. Organizational skills and a proactive approach in project management are essential for success in this role.

The following skills and qualifications are preferred:

  • At least 2 years experience in design & drafting electrical infrastructure in UK.
  • General familiarity with the electricity supply industry, electricity transmission and distribution practices.
  • Knowledge of drafting and BIM, how to define BIM outcomes, BIM processes, how to coordinate a BIM project within the 3D environment and how to apply design to the models they produce.
  • Computational design, design algorithms and automation of data manipulation.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects, develop their technical competency, and ensure the application of relevant international/UK standards and engineering knowledge in various projects.
