Key Responsibilities">

The Shift Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless kitchen operations, overseeing menu item preparation, inventory management, and adhering to high standards of cleanliness.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Salad Days menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to deliver exceptional customer experiences.">
  • Participate in regular sanitization tasks to maintain a spotless kitchen environment, prioritizing the health and safety of staff and customers alike.">
  • Efficiently manage peak times while adhering to prescribed kitchen protocols to meet service standards, promoting a culture of excellence within the team.">
  • Manage daily inventory tasks, including conducting physical inventory counts and reporting stock-in-hand accurately, ensuring efficient supply chain management.">
  • Monitor and minimize wastage in the kitchen, implementing best practices for efficient use of ingredients, driving sustainability and reducing costs.">
  • Utilize computer software to manage kitchen operations, including filling out kitchen checklists, placing orders for raw materials, and filling out daily reports, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.">
  • Ensure proper grooming and hygiene of the staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, reflecting positively on the organization's brand.">
  • Maintain records of SOS riders and arrange deliveries in case of an emergency, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.">
  • Fill out and submit daily reports for the unit, ensuring accurate and timely information, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with culinary education being a plus but not essential.">
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment, including hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, inventory management, packaging, dispatching, and training.">
  • Advanced understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.">
  • Strong organizational skills for planning and managing mise-en-place activities, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.">
  • Ability to handle peak service times efficiently and meet performance targets, demonstrating adaptability and resilience under pressure.">
  • Proficiency in inventory management, including physical counts and accurate reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.">
