Job Opportunity : Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our technology team. The role involves managing and supporting Level 2/3 solutions across highly available platforms and business-critical products.

About the Role :

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AS400 systems, database technologies, and modern automation practices, while also contributing to infrastructure management, security, and system responsibilities.

  • Provide Level 2/3 support for AS400 platform including batch processing, job scheduling, and reporting.
  • Manage and maintain DB2 for IBM and SQL Server databases.
  • Work with LANSA applications (highly regarded but not essential).
  • Support Java-based applications and Apache Tomcat (Java Web Application server).
  • Perform Windows Server management and administration.
  • Implement and maintain observability, logging, and monitoring tools.
  • Manage SSL certificates, vulnerability remediation, and patching processes.
  • Conduct capacity planning and management for systems and applications.
  • Ensure disaster recovery and high availability strategies are in place.
  • Work with APIs and support integration-related initiatives.
  • Provide exposure and support for Akamai, SSO, Load Balancers (F5), and Firewalls.
  • Use ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence for IT service and project management.
  • Manage AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift).
  • Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Implement DevOps practices using CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Platform/AS400 Engineer in a highly available production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AS400 platform and DB2/SQL Server databases.
  • Hands-on expertise in automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring solutions.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server administration and Java/Tomcat applications.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services and DevOps CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, SSL certificates, and system patching.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to
  • Exposure to LANSA development.
  • Experience with APIs, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and SSO solutions.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and working knowledge of ServiceNow
