Job Role:

As a Senior Credit Risk Management Professional, you will lead and manage the credit evaluation and control function. This includes ensuring timely collection of receivables, minimizing credit risk, and maintaining healthy cash flow while supporting business growth and customer relationships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of experienced credit controllers across head office and regional offices, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement credit control procedures (credit limits, policies) and strategies to manage divisional credit exposure, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Establish governance mechanisms and define KPIs for performance monitoring of the credit evaluation and control function, driving data-driven decision-making.

Cash Flow and Financial Coordination

  • Liaise closely with the finance function to ensure healthy cash flow for the division, leveraging expertise in working capital optimization, receivables forecasting accuracy, and reduction in DSO.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, RSMs, and ZSMs to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Publish relevant reports and fact sheets as per leadership requirements, including collection performance summaries, aging analysis, and exception reports.

Operational Oversight

  • Coach and support the credit evaluation and control team in managing day-to-day activities using the Accounts Receivable solution, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Expedite collection of doubtful debts through a defined escalation workflow and timely exception handling, minimizing financial losses.
