Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to manage our accounts payable for a portfolio of U.S. real estate properties.
This role requires a detail-oriented and efficient individual with experience in U.S.-based accounting who can process high volumes of transactions accurately and proactively approach problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounts Payable Management: Accurately process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments while ensuring compliance with U.S. accounting principles and regulations.
- Vendor Relationships: Manage vendor onboarding, updates, and issue resolution to ensure seamless business operations.
- Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Support month-end close, accruals, and reporting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams for invoice coding and approvals to facilitate smooth business operations.
- Payment Execution: Prepare payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers to ensure timely payment to vendors.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably with U.S.-based accounting exposure.
- Real Estate Knowledge: Experience in the U.S. real estate sector is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; Yardi experience preferred.
- Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to AP.
- Excel Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
