Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Materials Selection Specialist to work on greenfield and brownfield projects across upstream and downstream production. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing material selection and corrosion management reviews as a consultant in materials, ensuring cost-effective material selection and corrosion mitigation strategies that guarantee the technical integrity of the materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • To function as a Materials and Corrosion Engineer in greenfield and brownfield jobs through their life cycle, ensuring effective implementation of material selection and corrosion management strategies.
  • Support the development, review, and update of standards and specifications as required to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Verify contractor's material selection reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Actively train in-house Piping Material Engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge in materials selection and corrosion management.
  • Provide support in the Select and Define phases in the delivery of brownfield and greenfield projects, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Support the evaluation and application of new technology to optimize future developments in terms of cost and operability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in materials science and engineering, with experience in materials selection and corrosion management. A bachelor's degree in Materials Science or a related field is required. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
