Job Description:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons to students in grades 6 to 10. Your primary objective will be to equip students with a strong foundation in English language and literature.

Key responsibilities include planning and preparing lesson plans that align with the curriculum, teaching grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, literature, and communication skills. You will also assess, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on students' progress through tests, assignments, and projects.

Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment, encourage students to develop confidence in speaking and writing English, and support extracurricular activities such as debates, drama, elocution, essay writing, and storytelling.

You will also collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support students' academic and personal growth. Maintaining accurate student records and reports is an essential aspect of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in English Literature, English Language, Education, or a related field.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification (preferred).
  • Proven experience in teaching English at the middle or high school level.
  • Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to use creative teaching methods and integrate technology in the classroom.
  • Passion for education and mentoring young learners.
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to motivate students.
