Job Description

At SoftSync, we are building the next generation of relationship intelligence. Our team needs a skilled Backend Developer to strengthen our remote workforce in India.

This role requires the candidate to design and build scalable backend systems using GraphQL APIs with NestJS, develop secure and performant backend services handling large-scale data, integrate with Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and DynamoDB, collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and data teams to deliver full-stack features, write modular, testable, and maintainable code, build and manage microservices and background workers, use Docker and Kubernetes for development, testing, and deployment, and maintain code quality with unit and integration testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and build scalable backend systems using GraphQL APIs with NestJS.
  2. Develop secure, performant backend services handling large-scale data.
  3. Integrate with Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and DynamoDB.
  4. Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and data teams to deliver full-stack features.
  5. Write modular, testable, and maintainable code.
  6. Build and manage microservices and background workers.
  7. Use Docker and Kubernetes for development, testing, and deployment.
  8. Maintain code quality with unit and integration testing (Jest, SuperTest, etc.).
  9. Design, build, and maintain backend services with AWS.
  10. Develop efficient queries and data models in Postgres and DynamoDB.
  11. Implement containerized applications using Docker.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
  13. Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and documentation.
  14. Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  15. Continuously improve architecture and suggest optimizations.
  16. Apply deep understanding of event-driven architecture and message queues (Kafka).
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A minimum 4 years of experience in backend development.
  • Proficiency with AWS services.
  • Strong knowledge of Postgres and DynamoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
