The purpose of our Commercial Data team is to develop cutting-edge property and market data insights, driving business growth through strategic decision-making.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Lead Engineer with 7-10 years' experience, who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys tackling technical challenges, and leads teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

This senior role has key strategic importance and visibility within the organisation. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams globally, designing, developing, and optimising features to ensure scalable solutions that drive exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or significantly contribute to initiatives with strategic focus and value
  • Solve complex technical problems in ways that enable other team members to learn and extend
  • Support the Engineering Manager/Tech Lead in setting the technical direction
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of the team
  • Drive continuous improvement of production systems and advocate for overall system health
  • Work with stakeholders to design high-quality solutions that meet user needs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Well-versed in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with data modelling
  • Experience with data pipelines
  • Experience with data consumption
  • Experience with data analysis and documentation
  • Experience with data warehousing
  • Advanced skills in designing solutions that scale and perform for millions of users
  • Advanced skills in developing long-term system architecture strategies
  • Experience with modern software development techniques (e.g., functional programming, microservice architecture, test-driven development, and CI/CD)
