Sr Cloud Network Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Network Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and operating our cloud-based network infrastructure.

This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols and concepts. You should have proficiency in Azure and AWS cloud services, as well as experience with ITSM processes and tools such as ServiceNow.

  • Building, managing, and maintaining the company's Azure and AWS cloud-based infrastructure
  • Establishing and managing Azure ExpressRoute and AWS Direct Connect for secure and reliable network connectivity
  • Designing and implementing virtual networks within Azure and AWS environments
  • Building and managing DMZs in Azure and AWS to provide an additional layer of security
  • Implementing and managing cloud-native and 3rd party firewalls to protect cloud-based resources
  • Setting up and managing proxies to control and secure internet access
  • Enabling and configuring monitoring for cloud network infrastructure
  • Monitoring alerts and addressing issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Architecture: Understanding of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols and concepts
  • Cloud Services: Proficiency in Azure and AWS cloud services
  • IT Service Management: Experience with ITSM processes and tools such as ServiceNow
  • Certifications: Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Azure Administrator Associate, or similar can demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with overall 5 years real experience as Senior Cloud Network Administrator and troubleshooting network incidents and problems
